A Sky of Word Clouds

This project was done as part of the course ‘Language Technology and Web Applications’ in the autumn semester of 2023

A Sky of Word Clouds is a fun and educational word-guessing game that introduces players to linguistic diversity through visually engaging word clouds. In the game, you’re presented with multiple word clouds with words in different languages — and your task is to find the “impostor” language that doesn’t belong with the others, i.e., that is from another language family. It is available as a browser application. More information about the game can be found in the repository.

Above: a view of one of the game modes: here, the goal is to find the cloud containing the words of the “odd” language.
Below: After submitting the answer, the player is presented with the solution, and can see whether the answer was correct.
