Nodes

Each circle represents a person, whereby size indicates importance based on correspondence volume in the Bullinger Corpus. It is proportional to the number of letters sent and received. Note that the maximum size is clamped to the second largest node, as Bullinger himself is an outlier in correspondence volume.

Geographic colour mapping

Color indicates the main location in a year, i.e., where the most correspondence was exchanged. A place's colours are based on its coordinates, whereby:

Edges

Edges show relationships active during the selected year.

In both cases, the thickness is exactly the number of mentions/letters in the selected year.
